Alanda Gregory, Vice President; Andy Bland, Secretary; and Trustees, Diann Guns (virtual), Christy Monk, and Pam Mullin • The Board approved library expenditures. • The library partnered with the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival again this year. Over 180 vouchers were given to library card holders to be redeemed for one free screening. • The library partnered with Iowa State Extension program to act as a pick-up location for their sweet potato plant give -a -way. Hundreds of sweet potato plants were picked up at the library. • The library is now offering faxing services for free, due to subscribing to a new online faxing service. The public has received the free faxing service very well. • The library is excited for this year's Summer Reading Program. This year's theme is "Level Up" at your library. Included in the robust array of programming, four large -crowd events are scheduled at the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. The Adult reading program has a lot of great prizes and incentives for readers this summer, including a grand prize offering of a certificate for redemption for a Ropes Course package at Four Mounds. • The library hosted students from the Loras College class titled, "The Working Poor", which featured a tour of the library and a discussion with students sharing services the library provides to houseless members of the community.
