Library Board of Trustees Update
From the Meeting July 24, 2025
Present: A. Alanda Gregory, President; Andy Bland, Vice President; Diann Guns,
Secretary; and Trustees, Jessica Connery, Victor Lieberman, Christy Monk, and Pam
Mullin
• The Board welcomed new Trustee, Jessica Connery
• The Board elected executive positions:
o President, A. Alanda Gregory; Vice President, Andy Bland; Secretary,
Diann Guns
• The Board approved library expenditures.
• The Board approved partnership with the Community Foundation of Greater
Dubuque to collaborate for the 2025 Data Walk.
• The Board approved language updates to the Carnegie -Stout Public Library 2023-
2028 Strategic Plan to align with name changes to City of Dubuque Department
name changes and in accordance with new State of Iowa laws.
• The Board celebrated news that the Carnegie -Stout Public Library Foundation
was awarded grants from both the McDonough Foundation and the Dubuque
Racing Association.
• The library saw a 1% increase in materials circulation, a 7% increase in visitor
count and a 7% increase in computer and Wi-Fi use in Fiscal Year 2025, as
compared to Fiscal Year 2024.
• The Maker Space saw a 20% increase in visitors over the previous fiscal year.
• The library hosted a petting zoo in June with fantastic attendance and a whole lot
of smiles.
