Kohlhaas called the meeting to order at 5:04 pm

• Bielinski motions to approve June meeting minutes. Kennicker seconds.
Motion to approve carried.

New Business:
• Nature Everywhere + Wanderwood Gardens
a. Jared McGovern from Nature Everywhere + Wanderwood Gardens spoke about the progress
of the park and the programs they plan to offer
b. Opening in June 2026
c. Fostering creativity, confidence, and play in children through nature
• Beaver Damn Analog presentation
a. John Shroder and John Sewell presented about stream/river management with manmade
beaver dams and storm water management that works with our natural environment.
• Dubuque Area Land and Water Agency (DALAWL) request for Parks and Recreation Master Plan
a. Bielinski motions to approve, Evans seconds. Motion to approve carried, Kennicker abstained.
i. Bielinski to draft a letter to Council in support of items 6, 7, and 9 on the "Dubuque
Area Land and Water Legacy— Recommendations for Dubuque City Council Parks &
Recreation Master Plan and Envision 2030" list Page 121 of 1171
ii. Commission does not support action items 1, 8, and 11 on the list

Jule Operations and Training Center (JOTC) in the Circle Conference Room, 949 Kerper Blvd.
