This is a claim in which the claimant states that a sewer mgm was blocked, which caused water
to enter an apartment and the basement of his property.
According to the report of John Klostermann, Street/Sewer Maintenance Supervisor, after speaking
with City employees and checking the Department's records, there was no knowledge of this sewer

show a history of problems with this line.
Mr. Klostermann recommends denial of this da'un based on lack of prior knowledge. The Legal

Dear Barry:
This letter will respond to the claim filed by Mr. Bill Miller on March 30, 2001.
I have checked my records and have talked to my employees about this claim
and it appears that we do not have any knowledge of this back up. We did not
respond to any call at this address or had any knowledge of this problem. Our
records also show that we do not have a history of problems with this line.
· It is therefore my recommendation to deny this claim due to the lack of prior
knowledge.
Sincerely,.
J(~hn Klostermann
