WHEREAS, Hospice of Dubuque is the only local, nonprofit hospice and palliative care organization
serving the greater Dubuque area with a mission of providing compassionate care for the
seriously ill and their loved ones since 1983; and
WHEREAS, Hospice of Dubuque's team of healthcare professionals and dedicated volunteers help
members of our tri-state community live fully and comfortably during a time of uncertainty
and vulnerability; and
WHEREAS, Hospice of Dubuque provides individualized care, medical expertise, unwavering support,
and life -changing services for persons throughout our tri-state area in the place they call
home; and
WHEREAS, Hospice of Dubuque has focused on bringing hope, comfort, dignity, and quality of life to
individuals and their loved ones for 42 years and is identified by Medicare as the only 5-
star hospice serving the tri-state area
NOW THEREFORE, I, BRAD M. CAVANAGH, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF, AND RESIDENTS OF DUBUQUE, DO HEREBY
PROCLAIM THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER 2025 AS
"HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE MONTH"
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand
