Alanda Gregory, President; Andy Bland, Vice President; and Trustees, Jessica Connery, Victor Lieberman, and Pam Mullin • The Board approved library expenditures. • Through a grant from the Dubuque Racing Association, the library is piloting the Bright Beginnings Book Box program which delivers tubs of books to area preschools that are no longer receiving books from the Area Education Agency due to change in State law regarding AEA funding appropriations for Iowa School Districts. • The library partnered with The Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque to provide library card holder data for the 2025 Data Walk to show library card usage throughout the city. • The library hosted a group of library enthusiasts that were touring Carnegie libraries in Eastern Iowa and helped facilitate a box lunch at the Fannie Stout house. Director of the Carnegie Libraries of Iowa project Shana Stuart, gave a great presentation about the history of Carnegie's giving to Dubuque, as well as the philanthropic efforts and history of the Stout family. • Library staff have been working with FEH Design to refine renovation plans to address three projects within the existing library space in the near future. These plans will: o Expand the library's Makerspace o Redesign the library's teen area o Redesign library circulation desks to allow for new tutoring/study spaces and some material displays.
