This is official notification to your City Council that the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) proposes to let the
project as referenced above on January 21, 2026. This project lies within or near your city. The project is proposed for
construction during 2026 and will consist of bridge cleaning on US-61 over the Peosta Channel, in Dubuque.
The work will be done in accord with the current Form 810034 "Agreement for Primary Road Extension Maintenance
and Operation". Project costs will be paid from the Primary Road Fund, and no charges will be made against the city.
The contract will be administered by the Davenport Resident Construction Engineer's Office. If the City would like to be
notified of the preconstruction meeting schedule, contractor's proposed work schedule, or has any other questions
and/or concerns, please contact Adrian Simonson, P.E., Resident Construction Engineer of the Davenport RICE Office by
calling 563-391-2750, or by email at Adrian.Simonson@iowadot.us
We would appreciate this project notification being included on your next City Council meeting agenda as a matter of
information for the Council members. If you have any questions concerning the work involved, please contact this office
as soon as possible to expedite any possible changes.
