Assistant Fire Marshal Derek Paulson is recommending City Council approval of a

Wildhorse Productions LLC has applied for a pyrotechnic permit for an upcoming show
at the Five Flags Center on Friday, February 20t" and Saturday, February 21st, 2026.
Pyrotechnics require the approval of the City Council prior to permit issuance.
BACKGROUND
A permit application has been received from Wildhorse Productions LLC for
pyrotechnics display at the Five Flags Center on February 20t" and February 21 st,
2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m. each night. This will consist of a performer doing a fire
breathing act during intermission of the scheduled rodeo event held that weekend. The
applicant has submitted all required documentation including a certificate of liability
insurance and the qualifications of the pyrotechnics operator.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend submittal to the City Council requesting approval to issue a permit to
Wildhorse Productions LLC for pyrotechnics display on February 20t" and February 21st
2026.
