Library Board of Trustees Update
From the Meeting December 18, 2025
Present: A. Alanda Gregory, President; Diann Guns, Secretary; and Trustees, Jessica
Connery, Victor Lieberman, Christy Monk, and Pam Mullin
• The Board approved library expenditures for November.
• The Board approved library holiday closures for 2026.
• The Carnegie -Stout Public Library Foundation celebrated a donation from UMB
bank of $25,000. This money will help fund a refurbished seating area in the
library's Youth Services area.
• The library had a great tree lighting program, with approximately 200 attendees.
Special thanks to visits from the Northeast Iowa School of Music Woodwind
Carolers and Santa Claus.
• The library collected over 400 pounds of food from the community to deliver to
the Dubuque Food Bank before Thanksgiving.
• Library staff are working with FEH Design to finalize plans to be approved by the
Board of Trustees to go out to bid for some internal renovations. Plans should be
out for bid in early 2026.
• The Makerspace as acquired a "Direct to Film" printer, which makes the vinyl
printing and adhesive backing process for sublimation prints to adhere to fabric
much faster and cheaper for the public. This machine was purchased due to the
demand of community members looking to make custom t-shirts at the library.
The machine has been well received.
