Alanda Gregory, President; Andy Bland, Vice-President; Diann Guns, Secretary; and Trustees, Jessica Connery, Victor Lieberman, Christy Monk, and Pam Mullin • The Board approved library expenditures for January. • The Board of Trustees approved plans, specifications, and form of contract for public improvement project at the Carnegie-Stout Public Library and have set a public hearing date of March 26. • Bid for proposed Library renovations are due Apri19, using available donated funds from the Library's Robert Mutschler Trust. Renovation projects include expanding the library's Makerspace on the second floor, renovating the Teen Zone on the first floor, and remodeling circulation service desks to consolidate work to one larger desk, removing two small desks and adding more study and tutoring rooms to the first floor. • The library received a $10,000 gift from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the philanthropic foundation established by Andrew Carnegie in 1911. This gift is in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and was distributed to all Carnegie libraries in the United States. • The library's seed swap program and expo had nearly 300 people attend to acquire new seeds for their gardens and landscaping, and engage with local gardening vendors. Thousands of seeds were also distributed to local organizations such as the Dubuque Rescue Mission, Theresa Shelter, and Mary's Inn to help fill and plant their own community gardens. • This year's Summer Reading Program theme: "Plant a Seed, Read" Statistical Highlights January Count Total Checkouts 40,246 Total Visitors 12,730 Total Program Attendance 1,762 Total Computer/Wi-Fi Use 12,730 Lib�^ary BoaNd of Ti^ustees A.
