Aerial fireworks displays require the approval of the City Council prior to permit issuance. BACKGROUND A permit application has been received from Perry Mason with Radio Dubuque for a fireworks display on Volunteer Dr. on July 3, 2026, at approximately 9:45 p.m. The fireworks display will be a public display and advertised to the public. The applicant has submitted all required documentation including a certificate of liability insurance and the qualifications of the pyrotechnics operator. No rain date scheduled. Realizing that we cannot keep you,your employees,or your guests � from your property,we feel an obligation to inform you of the NFPA recommended safety zone. I As in the past, we do not expecfi any problems at this year's event.We do however ask that you exhibit caution when on your premises and to keep patrons from wandering through the safety ; zone.Any persons or personal possessions on your property during the fireworks display other � than permanent structures are your responsibility and every action should be taken to protect � persvns and property from potentiaf fallout damage.The Dubuque Jaycees/Radio Dubuque and the other sponsars of this fireworks display assume no responsibility for said pre�entable damage. j In addition,the City of Dubuque �ire Department will have zero tolerance for personal firewarks in � and around the event area on July 3rd. Police, Fire Department, and Security personnel will i confiscate any fireworks they find.There will also be a zero tolerance for persons who tamper with the snow fence,the caution tape,or move barricades that are in place to protect the fire zone.That is a "permit area" and it will be considered trespassing. � Like in past years, Kerper 81vd will close for ali incoming and outgoing traffic,once the three ! � parl<ing lots off of Shiras Ave Ext are full.The exact time varies year to year, but it will � approximately be 6:00-7:OOpm when Kerper Blvd closes.
