A majority were f re uent corridor users. 52%- report daily visits ✓69% use on -street parking ✓52% usually find parking where they prefer ✓40% always find parking 9/8/26 What We Heard from the Community A I Most respondents are frequent corridor users, with over half visiting the corridor daily. WALKER BOLTON Q & MENK Real People. Real Solutions. F, On -street parking is the primary choice for most respondents, while public lots and ramps are used less often. '44&44000 Ease of finding parking and distance to destination are the top factors shaping where people park. Most respondents usually find parking where they prefer and rarely is finding parking an issue for respondents. Most are willing to walk a block if it supports amenities like wider sidewalks and bike facilities. 9/8/26 Engagement Key Themes and Takeaways Access and parking Community members want convenient access to businesses, homes, and destinations, though opinions differ on whether parking or better multimodal options best support that goal. • Street design and mobility Comments focused on how to balance space for vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, sidewalks, traffic calming, and green space. l Safety and traffic Speeding, pedestrian crossings, truck traffic, and bike safety were common concerns across both supporters and opponents of the redesign. oM commerce and quality of life Respondents want changes that support corridor activity, local businesses, neighborhood character, and long-term vitality. Overall takeaway: Community feedback shows that access, safety, and mobility are shared priorities, and by working together, we can turn this input into practical solutions that support businesses, strengthen connections, and create a safer, more welcoming corridor for everyone. . WALKER © BOLTON CONSULTANTS & MENK Real People. Real Solutions. 9/8/26 Conclusion • Currant Demand: • Overall low parking activity throughout the day. • Higher demand in some hotspots; parking still available within 1 block currently. • Future Conditions: • As more storefronts become occupied and upper -story apartments are renovated, parking demand will increase. • Parking is expected to be available within a short 1-2 block walk of most locations after redesign. Ample off- street parking available. • Parking Management: Balance demand through strategic purchase/lease of underutilized off-street parking, shared parking, wayfinding signage, and allowing overnight parking, others. Or sidewalk area if it's a wide sidewalk up next to the curb. • could gain up to 2591omore spaces Two sided angle parking would be 60-61' pending on the angle of the parking. Most ROW is 72 feet. This would leave a 5' sidewalk to deal with vehicle overhang and walking area. • would gain 509/o more spaces, but this is too tight fora downtown and not recommended WALKER BOLTON O & MEN K CONSULTANTS Real People.
