SUMMARY: City Manager providing a copy of a flyer highlighting
examples of some of the City of Dubuque Parks and
Recreation Department's Fall 2026 programs and events,
which will be mailed with City utility bills from September 10

mind and body. Chair yoga will
increase flexibility, enhance muscles,
and improve balance and core
strength without leaving your seat!

located at the Multicultural Family

Halloween Dance Party
Weds., Oct. 14, 6-8 p.m. $5
Get into the Halloween spirit! All ages
and abilities are welcome to enjoy an
evening of dancing, music, and fun.

DBQ Esports League (DEL) is a
nonprofit organization that provides
a safe, social gaming environment
while encouraging social -emotional
health, career exploration, and STEM
education. Participants will play
interactive games together in a
relaxed, social setting.

Playdough, Slime, and Sand Creations
Ages: 2-4 yrs. $12
Tues., Sept. 29 10-11 a.m.
Everyone loves to squish, flatten, and roll
playdough! In this class we will get to do lots
of that as we craft fun and exciting playdough
masterpieces such as robots, ladybugs,
snowmen, snails and more! We will also work
with slime, kinetic sand, and make sand
creations.
Sensory Art and Activities
Ages: 18 mo. - 4 yrs. $12
Weds., Oct. 7 10-11 a.m.
Join us for a morning of exciting activities with
you and your child. We will have numerous
sensory stations set up through our classroom
allowing you to engulf your child in diverse
sensory opportunities. We will also engage in
sensory art activities that everyone will love.
This is your opportunity to participate with your
child in a collective atmosphere.
Little Gym
Ages: 18 mo.-4 yrs. $30
Dec. 1, 8, & 15 9-10:30 a.m.
We're transforming a 1•i
portion of the second floor
of the National Mississippi
River Museum & Aquarium
into a fun, interactive play
gym! Children can explore bounce houses, ball
pits, learning stations, balance beams, mats,
and much more in a fun, unstructured
environment designed to encourage movement,
creativity, social skills, and discovery. Parents
and caregivers can join in the fun and enjoy
quality time with their children.
Adult Basketball & Volleyball Leagues
Basketball: $625/team
Volleyball: $210/team
Form your own team and compete in a 12-game
adult league! Basketball and volleyball leagues
are available for adults ages 18 and older, with
play beginning the week of Monday, Nov. 2.
Basketball teams can choose from available
league options, while volleyball teams can
register for men's, women's, or co-ed leagues.
Registration closes Friday, Oct. 16. League
openings are filled on a first -come, first -served
basis.

The Parks and Recreation Family Scholarship is a
$150 household credit for income -qualified families
(two or more related people from the same address).
