RACE HEIGHTS MOBILE HOME PARK and acting upon such other business as may properly come before a regnlar meeting of the City Council. May 13, 1971 Honorable Mayor and Council Members The Planning and Zoning Com- mission has held a public hearing on the Tower Mobile Home Park Plan. The Commission has found that the plan conforms to the de- velopment standards that were adopted by the Commission and the Council. It was further the opinion of the Commission that a mobile home park would be an appropriate use for this area ood that it would meet a need in the community, J In reviewing this proposal the Commission considered the matter of access to property lying north of this development. It was the feel- ing of the Commission that in a housing development such as a mobile home park, where central management is provided, that pri- vate streets are more desirable than public streets, and that require- ments of additional public right. of.way through the mobile home park, to provide access to adjoining properties, would be inconsistent with the policy that they have adopted for mobile home parks. It was the opinion of the Commission that a more appropriate place for access would be on property lying east of the mobile home park, which would be developed at ala. ter date. The Commission requested a written commitment from the developers that they would include a public right-of-way In the subse- ..,," quent development ploos for the remainder of their property. This agreement is attached. It is the recommendation of the Commission that this plan be ap. proved by the Council.
