Plat of Survey of Lots 138, 139, and the East Six (6) Feet of Lot 155 All in
Mechanics Addition
In response to a State requirement to prepare and file a plat of property surveys that
includes the retracement of existing boundary lines, Public Works Director Mike Koch is
recommending approval of the attached plat. The attached plat shows the lots that
were retraced and monumented as part of the Napier to Kaufmann Sanitary Sewer
Project and Napier to Kaufmann Storm Sewer Project.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

Plat of Survey of Lots 138, 139, and the East Six (6) Feet of Lot 155
All in Mechanics Addition
INTRODUCTION
This is in response to a State requirement to prepare and file a plat for property
surveys that includes the retracement of existing boundary lines.
DISCUSSION
The attached plat shows the lots that were retraced and monumented as part of
the Napier to Kaufmann Sanitary Sewer Project and Napier to Kaufmann Storm
Sewer Project.
The reconstruction of the sewers and the need to establish easements required the
property pins be placed in order for proper placement of the improvements.
The Dubuque County Recorder requires an "Owner's Consent" certificate to be
attached to all plats recorded in Dubuque County.
RECOMMENDATION
I would recommend that the attached plat be approved and the Mayor be
authorized and directed to sign the plat on behalf of the City.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN
The recommendation should be approved through the adoption of the enclosed
resolution.

RESOLUTION NO.343-01
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF SURVEY OF LOTS 138, 139,
AND THE EAST SIX (6) FEET OF LOT 155 ALL IN MECHANICS
ADDITION
Whereas, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of
Dubuque, Iowa, a plat dated July 16, 2001, prepared by the City of Dubuque
describing the retracement of Plat of Survey of Lots 138, 139. and the east 6 feet
of Lot 155 all in Mechanics Addition.
Whereas, said plat conforms to the laws and statutes pertaining thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the plat dated July 16, 2001, prepared by the City of
Dubuque relative to the real estate hereinabove described be and the same is
hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said plat and on behalf of the City of
Dubuque, Iowa.
Section 2. That the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and directed to
file said plat and certified copy of this resolution in the office of the Recorder, in
and for Dubuque County, Iowa.

-The above described parcel was surveyed to retrace the boundary of the above
described parcels in the City of Dubuque, Dubuque County, Iowa; the plat of
which is attached hereto and made a part of this certificate; and is subject to
easements of record and not of record. All monuments were placed or shall be
placed within one year from the date this plat is recorded.

free consent and in accordance with the desire of the undersigned owners and
