17, 2000 meeting. Tom Hannan seconded. Motion passed 4-0.

Bob Sampson motioned to retain the present officers until the end of

bedroom that lacks a window to the outside air as required
by 26-10.(f) (3)a. T~e front wall would have to be opened 50%
to borrow light and ventilation from the front bedroom. The
rear wall of this room is shared with the living room. The
living room is borrowing light and ventilation from the
kitchen. There are apartments on both sides of this
apartment.

The owner, Richard Henkel, requested an extension of time
until September 1, 2001 to make repairs. More than one year
has passed since the date of the original inspection. The
initial inspection of this property was performed on March
2, 1999, where 90 code violations were cited. There are
currently 88 outstanding violations on our inspection list.
A reinspection of this property was set for May 14, 2001 to
assess the progress. The inspector did not gain access, the
owner did not show up for the inspection.

The owners, John and Jane Dolter, requested a variance on
making certain repairs on the exterior fire escape.
The variance was discussed extensively by the Board members,
Mr. Dolter and the Inspectors. It was not clear to the Board
exactly what Mr. Dolter was asking a variance on. The
following motion was made.
TOM HANNANMOTIONED TO TABLE THIS MATTER WITH THE
UNDERSTANDING REPAIRS ARE MADE WITHIN 60 DAYS AND THE BOARD
WILL GRANT A VARIANCE ON STAIRWELL HEIGHT. BOB SAMPSON
SECONDED. MOTION PASSED 4-0.
