Claim against the City of Dubuque by Service Master by Banfield Seven Hills
Regarding your letter of August 21, 2001 concerning a claim filed against the City of Dubuque
by Jayne Banfield, I recommend payment of $102.35 to the claimant. The investigation shows
that Officer Abitz, the driver of the City of Dubuque squad car, entered the intersection against
the red light and became the primary cause of the accident. Officer Abitz was subsequently cited
for failing to obey a traffic control device. If after your review you have any questions, please
feel f~ee to contact me. Thank you.
