season. Tammy Gehling frem the City of Dubuque's Grephics Department designed the brechure. The
finished preduct should be ready by the end of the week. The Commission members suggested some small

MC for the event. The itinerary of the evening was reviewed and all Commission members added some
ideas and comments to the discussion. Cindy Fuller would like Manager Wolfe to look into having the history

said that she would look into that with Tammy Gehling from Grephics about puffing together a handout.
The Commission members, Manager Wolfe and Gil Spence had a lengthy discussion on re-naming the Five
Flags Theater. After discussing all avenues of a name change, Mike Brannon voted to keep the name The
Five Flags Theater due to confusion to the public and the costs involved in successfully marketing a name
change. All members agreed to take a look at renaming the theater at a later date.
Gil Spence told the Commission members that there is money in this year's budget for a convention study to
be conducted. They will be forming a committee to work with this consultant and he would like one
commission members to be a part of that committee. All members agreed that Rod Bakke would be the best
Commission member for that position. Rod Bakke agreed to be a part of the committee. Gil told him that he
plans to have the committee set up in the next month.
During information sharing Manager Wolfe said that Downtown Revitalization took place on Saturday with
great success. Last Tuesday was the Holy Family Catholic mass which happened to fall on the same day as
the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington D.C. It was a beautiful eventl The office recently received
a new phone system and the Five Flags Center signed a contract with Information Services for all our
computer needs.
