7. Narrative Description:
Architectural Style And Key Stylistic Elements:
Late Victorian two-story gable front frame side hall plan (left side single entry) with hip roof porch,
stucco exterior, east side centered full-height bay wing with pedimented cap, Gothic attic light. Has
three windows across the front despite its narrow plan. Stone foundation under porch and house.
Physical Description:
42x17 core, right hand 11x3 bay, 8x17 porch, concrete porch and deck, vertical siding on the first floor
front, stucco foundation.
Alterations:
Brick porch piers and metal posts, shed roof east side wing in rear of plan.
Building Permit Card:
1934-construct frame garage-owner: Otto Huber-contractor: Martin Fessler-$150
1942-enclose side porch
Outbuildings:
Hip roof double garage, 1934, 20x24 with concrete foundation, wood shingle exterior
Landscaping Notes:
Driveway to east, stone retaining wall (four courses), fronts south.

Historical Image Notes:
The 1891 Sanborn Map first depicts this house, with an offset (left) entry porch, rear wing and inset
corner rear porch. The 1909 map adds an east side three-sided bay and full-width front porch (113
Hart). The 1909/36 map adds an east side porch behind the bay and a rear wing.
