Vernacular, two and single-story side gable brick L-plan with enclosed east shed roof porch, straight
brick voussior arches, west wing
Physical Description:
Wing to west, 46x46 core, frame addition in front, 16x46, walkout to north.
Alterations:
Porch built in, deck on north end.
Building Permit Cards:
1991 - erect detached frame garage-$9552-owner: Neil Kelley
1999-take out front porch, enclose new porch 16x45
Outbuildings:
Garage, 1992, 31x29 On alley to south
Landscaping Notes:
Set on shelf below bluff and above 5th, fronts east
8. Narrative Statement of Significance:
An original owner has not been identified. It is probable that the house had a different address,
perhaps to Prospect to the east in its early years.

Historical Image Notes:
The 1909 Sanborn map shows an east-fronting duplex as 156 West 5th. There is a full-width front
porch fronting east. The plan has a rear wing and south facing side porch.
The 1909/36 Sanborn map shows the same.
