The 1909 Sanborn map shows an earlier square single story cottage on a stone basement, advanced
to the street as 180 West 5th.
The 1909/36 Sanborn map shows the same, with a two-story full-width rear porch and stairs. The
same cottage is shown on the 1964 map.
