Narrative Description: Architectural Style And Key Stylistic Elements: Historical photographs indicate that this building is a two-story Neo-Classical design with raised foundation. Its upper level is level with North Main Street so it reads like a single-story cottage. Tree growth around the house mask its true scale and it was not possible to evaluate the entire structure. The uppermost floor has been greatly altered, compromising the whole. The house has an attached double garage, hip roof porch, pedimented frame lintels, large side wings, unusual window pediments, bay built out under porch (original?) Physical Description: 26x29 core with wing to front left, 24x12 left wing, 21x19 right wing, gable front cottage elaborated with smaller south through cornice dormer, larger north dormer. Alterations: Aluminum siding, replacement porch, north dormer added, wrap around porch to south bay front built in. Building Permits: 1980-19x24 detached garage 1987-18x18 deck 1992-enlarge skylight Outbuildings: Attached garage, north end. Landscaping Notes: At base of hill below park at foot of street 8.
