7. Narrative Description:
Style/Year: 1 1 /2 story, front - gabled vernacular framed house built in c. 1910 with multiple one -story
framed additions of later dates.
Physical Description:
16'W x 21'L (336 sq ft) one and half -story, front -gable roof, framed core
14'W x 12'L (168 sq ft) one - story, side -gable roof, framed addition
19'W x 21'L (399 sq ft) one story, side -gable roof, framed addition
5'W x 14'L (70 sq ft) shed -roof, open front
8'W x 12'L (96 sq ft) one -story, shed -roof, framed addition
Alterations:
The structure has had three additions constructed. The latest addition built in 1993/94 had a two foot
cantilever and is larger than the original framed house.

Outbuildings:
18' x 24' Detached Garage built in 1975.
18' x 10' Storage Shed
Landscaping Notes: The subject lot is irregular (trapezoidal) in shape. The front property line is wider
than the rear property line. The yard is elevated approximately 8 -10 above the grade of the street.
There is a private sidewalk and steps that lead to the front of the house. A driveway is located on the
right side of the house and provides access to a detached garage and parking pad.
8. Narrative Statement of Significance:
The structure has vinyl siding, windows have been replaced; soffit/fascia and window /door casings
have been wrapped with aluminum. A 1993/94 side -gable addition with a two foot cantilever was
added to the building. The property retains little architectural integrity.
Historical Notes: Property was owned by Helen Burkhart when water service was tapped August 19,
1952.
