Van Milligen, City Manager SUBJECT: Amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Dubuque and Teamsters Local Union No. 120 (Bus Operators) DATE: April 27, 2012 Personnel Manager Randy Peck is recommending City Council approval of the amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Dubuque and the Teamsters Local Union No. 120 (Bus Operators). This amendment will permit part time employees to work 1,716 or more hours in Fiscal Year 2012 and remain part time employees and continue to receive the benefits that are provided to part time employees. This amendment will permit part time employees to work 1716 or more hours in Fiscal Year 2012 and remain part time employees and continue to receive the benefits that are provided to part time employees. RP:jmh Attachment cc: Dave Heiar, Economic Development Director Barbara Morck, Transit Manager AMENDMENT TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION NO. 120 (BUS OPERATORS) AND THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA Effective April 24, 2012, the parties hereby agree to amend Article XXV, Part Time Employees, of the Collective Bargaining Agreement dated July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2014, as follows for Fiscal Year 2012 only: In Fiscal Year 2012, part time employees may work in excess of the annual hours limit of 1716 hours and shall remain part time employees. Part time employees shall be entitled only to the benefits set forth in Article XXIII, Grievance Procedure and to the benefits and pay set forth in the applicable section of the following articles: Article IV, Union Negotiating Committee; Article V, Union Dues Deduction; Article VIII, Funeral Leave; Article XII, Jury Duty; Article XIV, Casual Day; Article XVI, Holidays; Articles XXI, Uniforms; Article XXII, Training Assignment; Article XXIV, Wage Plan; Article XXVI, Job Posting; and Article XXVII, Fair Share Fees. Except as provided herein, part time employees shall not accrue or receive any other benefits, pay or privileges granted by the collective bargaining agreement or be subject to any other provisions of the agreement .
