MEMBERS PRESENT: Alan Vincent, Chair, Pauline Maloney, (vice- chair), Ron Tigges, Jennifer
Tigges.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Sr. Carol Hoverman, Kathy McMullen, Kevin Stevens.
OTHERS PRESENT: Craig Nowack, City of Dubuque
Vincent called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m.
Acceptance of the Agenda
Upon a motion by Maloney, seconded by RTigges, the agenda was accepted 4 - 0.
Approval of the Minutes of April 3, 2013
Upon a motion by JTigges, seconded by Maloney, the Minutes were approved 4 - 0.
Public Notice
There was no public input.
Canceling Meetings
The Commission considered canceling meetings if there were no items on the agenda other than the
Mediacom Cable Report and the Cable TV Division report. Maloney noted that the City ordinance
only requires that the Commission meeting once per calendar quarter. Nowack suggested that he
could send an e-mail to the entire Commission the Friday before a scheduled meeting informing them
that he had no other items for the agenda. By midday Monday, if there were still no other agenda
items, he would contact the chair and let the chair decide if the meeting should be canceled. After a
discussion, JTigges moved to approve that policy. The motion was seconded by RTigges and
approved 4 — 0.
Mediacom Cable Report
No one from Mediacom was available to make a report.
Cable TV Report
Nowack reported on recent and in- progress productions, including the Emergency Operations Centers
show, the Campaign for Grade -Level Reading, and a Bicycling Dubuque show. He informed the
Commission that the flat panel monitor project was in progress with the Municipal Services Center
conference complete, City Hall Annex Conference Room II scheduled, and City Hall Conference
Room B approved. He said the video production internship position is posted.
Adjournment
Upon a motion by JTigges, seconded by Maloney, the meeting was adjourned at 4:19 p.m.
