In order to accomplish amendment, it is proposed the Articles of Agreement be written as follows: II. 220 MEMBERSHIP OF THE COMMISSION The Dubuque County Metropoli- tan Area Planning Commission (hereinafter referred to as the "Commission") shall consist of not less than 5 members, a majority of whom shall hold no other pub- lic office or position except ap- pointive membership on a city plan commission or other planning commission, board or agency. (1) Two (2) members shall be appointed by the County Board of Supervisors. One (1) appointee shall be a member of the legally appointed County Zoning Commis- sion and one (1) may be appointed from the citizenry at large or from the Board of Supervisors. If an elected official is appointed, he shall serve a period only during his tenure as an elected official. (2) Two (2) members shal be appointed from the incorporated places of more than 50,000 popula- tion by the City Council. One (1) appointee shall be a member of the legally appointed City Plan and Zoning Commission, and one (1) may be appointed from the citi- zenry at large or from the City Council. If an elected official is appointed, he shall serve a period only during his tenure as an elect- ed official.
