Koch, Public Works Director City Hall Remodeling - Interior Work INTRODUCTION The enclosed resolutions provide for the City Hall Remodeling - Interior Work Proje. ct. DISCUSSION The project provided for the east and west entrance doors, transit/windows, vestibule remodeling, renovation of the second floor restroom into an office, and leveling and replacing the flooring on first and second floor corridors. Carpeting of second floor offices and conference rooms, painting and new chairs for Conference Room B were not part of this bid; however, they are were already on order at the time of contract award. The project was over the original bid primarily because of changes that developed in the remodeling the second floor office and leveling of the second floor. It should be noted that the replacement flooring on first floor, which was deleted from this project, will be done at a later date. The work has been completed on the project by Kluck Construction in the amount of $80,945.32. RECOMMENDATION I would recommend that the City Council accept the improvement and recommend that the final contract amount be established at $80,945.32. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA: Section 1. That the recommendation of the City Manager be approved and that said improvement be and the same is hereby accepted. BE iT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer be and he is hereby directed to pay to the contractor from the City Hall Remodeling ClP in amount equal to the amount of this contract, less any retained percentage provided for therein. That the cost of said improvement is hereby determined to be $93,120.73, and the said amount shall be paid from the City Hall Remodeling CIP of the City of Dubuque, Iowa.
