7. Narrative Description:
This is a broad gable front frame residence (24.6 feet by 29 feet, 710 square feet) with a single
story near elevated porch/deck and stairway. The foundation is of stone and the plan contains eight
rooms and two bedrooms. The house has been resided very recently and a metal entry canopy
removed. The front now has a deck porch with wooden railing. The house reads as a metal-clad shell
and has lost any distinctiveness. Sidewall fenestration is likely minimal. Façade fenestration is
symmetrical and an attic round vent very likely represents filled-in windows. There is no chimney and
all outbuildings have been removed. Sanborn maps show a fairly intensive outbuilding history. A full-
width shed/garage was along the alley from before 1891 until 1964+. A smaller square shed was on
one side of the lot or the other over the same time period.
