Besides the porch, the front (south) façade fenestration includes an entry door slightly offset to the left

Outbuildings:
14’ W x 20’ L detached vinyl sided storage building built post 1970.
Landscaping Notes:
The subject property an irregular .11 Acre (4,633 sq ft in area) sized lot. The lot is irregular because the
west side property line appears to trace the edge of a limestone bluff. A portion of the limestone bluff
was excavated to create a buildable lot for the subject building. The lot slopes up approximately 20 feet
from W. 5th Street to the rear property. The property is bordered by a vacant lot located on top of a
limestone bluff to the north, a three-story apartment building (451 W. 5th Street) to the east, W. 5th
Street to the south and a single-family home (495 W. 5th Street) located on a limestone bluff to the
west. Because of the topography of the site, the lot is terraced with limestone walls. A concrete
driveway on the west side of the building provides access to a parking pad located in the rear yard.
8. Narrative Statement of Significance:
Although the building is 89 years old, it does not rise to the level of being individually national register
eligible. This property and the surrounding neighborhood were evaluated as part of an Architectural
Survey conducted by Bruce Kriviskey in 1979. The property at that time was identified as potentially
contributing to a district. Since that time, the building has had several modifications which include: a
non-original porch and deck, aluminum soffit and fascia and installation of vinyl windows.
