Van Milligen, City Manager SUBJECT: 1849 Jackson Street Assessment DATE: February 11, 2015 On August 1, 2014, the property at 1849 Jackson St was severely damaged from a fire and was posted uninhabitable. The owner of the property did not have insurance. Due to the severity of the damage and the safety concerns with the building, the Building Services Department had the structure demolished. Building Services Manager Rich Russell recommends that the $37,450 cost of demolition and related work be assessed to the property. I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council approval. Micliael C.
