BACKGROUND Contract 08-DRH-212 originally awarded CDBG funds to the redevelopment of the Caradco Building. In 2013, through Amendment 5, the Linseed Oil Paintworks Building was added to this same contract. Amendment 6 provided for program description changes to include Linseed, extended the project completion date to December 31, 2014 to accommodate the project's construction, and reduced the percentage of LMI units in the combined building redevelopments from 64% to 51%. DISCUSSION The Linseed project has been underway since the fall of 2014, and is scheduled for substantial completion by the end of June 2015. City staff and the developer have had conversations with State staff these past several months, and the State is aware of the current timeline. The parties desire to amend the project completion date to allow for successful completion of the project. Amendment 7 extends the project completion date to December 31, 2015. RECOMMENDATION/ ACTION STEP I recommend the Council approves the attached resolution, authorizing the Mayor to sign the 7th Amendment to CDBG Contract 08-DRH-212.
