Each honoree was nominated because she has worked to make the community a better place.Whether it was fostering chil- dren, leading a group of Girl Scouts,or help build a museum and landmark, they each have made a lasting impression in Dubuque. Each woman had a very similar message—teamwork. No matter how successful they are or whatever they took on,they did it with the help of others. The message is loud and clear, that we are all capable of greatness, but are so much greater together. Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. This work is ever-important as girls are faced with many challenges.Girl Scouts has made it our goal to prepare girls and make them strong and resilient so they can face the challenges of our world today and in the future.
