Buol and Mem~rs of the City Council DATE: January 29, 2008 RE: Claim Against the City of Dubuque by Masahiro Iwasaki Claimant Date of Claim Date of Loss Nature of Claim Masahiro Iwasaki 01/10/08 01/08/08 Vehicle Damage This is a claim in which the claimant alleges that his vehicle was struck by a City of Dubuque bus while claimant's vehicle was parked near 1800 Clarke Drive. According to the report of Jon Rodocker, Transit Manager, based on information provided in the police report and the Keyline operator's report, it is Mr. Rodocker's conclusion that the incident was unavoidable. It is therefore the recommendation of Jon Rodocker to approve this claim for the amount of the submitted invoice of $472.23. The City Attorney's Office concurs with this recommendation. Mr. Iwasaki claims that his vehicle was damaged when a Keyline Bus struck his vehicle while parked near 1800 Clarke Dr. Based on the information provided in the police report and the Keyline operators report, I conclude that the incident was unavoidable.
