MINUTES OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP ADVISORY COMMISSION
MAY 12, 2008 (SPECIAL MEETING)
5:00 P.M.
CITY HALL ANNEX, 1300 MAIN, CONFERENCE ROOM # 1
Mike Buelow called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Gayle Gross, Mike Buelow, Joe Suarez, Wayne
Klostermann, Chad Oberdoerster
MEMBERS ABSENT:
Sister Mary Clare O’Toole, one seat remains vacant
STAFF PRESENT:
Mary Rose Corrigan
Michael Buelow completed the Certification of Compliance with the Iowa Open
Meetings Law.
TEST AGENDA:
Joe Suarez moved to accept the agenda. Chad Oberdoerster seconded the motion.
Motion passed unanimously.
ITEMS FROM COMMISSION:
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Deer Management Plan.
The past year’s hunt results were reviewed and discussed. Gayle Gross moved to
approve the Deer Management Plan and send letter from ESAC to the City Council.
Chad Oberdoerster seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC:
No one present to address the Commission.
CLARIFICATION OF TASKS:
Mary Rose Corrigan will send letter to schools, Gayle and Chad recruiting a Youth
Commissioner. She will also request the City Clerk’s Office advertise for a Youth
Commissioner.
The Commission discussed moving the meeting to 5:00 p.m. All present agreed. Mary
Rose will check with Sister Mary Clare O’Toole.

Board/Commission reports.

ADJOURNMENT:
Wayne Klostermann moved to adjourn the meeting. Gayle Gross seconded the motion.
Motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 5:25 p.m.
