As you are well aware, we unveiled the community Growth Chart this winter. The Growth Chart has sparked meaningful conversa#ions with citizens representing all aspects of the Dubuque community. Our next priority is the development of a strategic plan for youth in Dubuque, based on the opportunities that the Growth Chart uncovered. We could not be doing this work without the financial commitment of $75,000 over the next three years, from the City of Dubuque. At this time we would like to request the FY08 award of $25,000. These funds will assist with the operation of our agency as we move forward in our mission. Additionally, we are looking forward to partnering with the City of Dubuque to offer grants to support organizations and programming that align with the strategic plan for youth in our community. Thank you for your thoughtful appropriation of $75,000 over the next three years to ma#ch ECEP grants and expand this mission. We are anticipating that opportunities for growth will become evident in our strategic planning process. We will also be convening a committee that will be responsible for developing the model for this grant process. We have a strong partnership with the Community Foundation who has extensive experience in this area, and we will seek information and guidance from them. Your support of the ECEP mission is greatly appreciated. The youth of our community deserve the five promises and with your support, we will close the gaps for those who are underserved. With our priorities firmly set and with your support and collaboration, the potential for the mission of Every Child ~ Every Promise to be fulfilled is not just likely, but imminent. The children of Dubuque will reap the benefits of this promise. nth gratitude, Mae Hingtgen Executive Director Every Child ~ Every Promise
