For the past eight years, I have served as a Trustee for the Carnegie Stout Public
Library. As a result of my recent appointment to the judiciary by Governor Culver, I
must, with great regret, resign my position.
It has been an honor to serve at your pleasure and to work with Susan Henricks,
Dennette Kellogg, and all of my fellow Board members past and present. The Create
the Next Chapter renovation, which largely defined my years on the Board, is a project
that we can all be proud of as a community, and one that will have a lasting impact.
Thank you again for the opportunity to serve the people of Dubuque in this way.
I wish all of you nothing but the best.
Very truly yours,
Michael J. Shubatt
