Proclamation_Breast of Friends Walk-A-Thon Day
PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Breast of Friends is a group of fun-loving, breast cancer survivors
which gathers once a month for support, sharing and caring, and
form an annual Dragon Boat team; and
WHEREAS, Breast of Friends would like to give back to the community that has
supported them by helping women who do not have the insurance
that enables them to get mammograms; and
WHEREASon Sunday, October 5, 2008, Breast of Friends will sponsor the
,
Second Annual Did I Save Your Life Breast Cancer Prevention Walk.
All proceeds from this 5K walk will go to the Visiting Nurses
Association, who will help Dubuque-area women get and pay for
much needed mammograms.
NOW THEREFORE, I, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA,
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO
