Water Main Ext. Old Hwy 20MEMORANDUM May 15, 2002 TO: The Honorble Mayor and City Council Members FROM: Michael C. Van Milligen, City Manager SUBJECT: Old U.S. Highway 20 Water Main Extension Project The City is putting in a waterline from Seippel Road east on QId Highway Road to the entrance of the Fairgrounds. I am sorry I did not think of this when I brought the bid letting to you on May 6, 2002, and you established the bid award and public hearing for June 3, 2002, but I am concerned that the contractor will not get done on time and the area will be torn up during the County Fair I have asked Water Department Manager Bob Green to send out an addendum to the bid specs offering a $10,000 (about 7%) bonus for early completion. I respectfully request Mayor and City Council approval. Michael C.
