CITY COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
SPECIAL SESSION

Council met in special session at 6:00 p.m. on February 22, 2017 in the Historic Federal
Building.
Present: Mayor Buol, Council Members Connors, Del Toro, Jones, Lynch, Resnick, Rios;
City Manager Michael Van Milligen
Absent: Council Member Jones
Mayor Buol read the call and stated this is a special session of the City Council called for
the purpose of discussing various City Departmental Fiscal Year 2018 budgets.
FISCAL YEAR 2018 DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET REVIEW
Fiscal Year 2018 City departmental budgets were presented by staff from the following
departments:
Purchase of Services: No formal presentation was given. Mayor Buol called for public input
on the Purchase of Services FY 2018 Budget recommendation.
Five Flags Center: Marie Ware, Leisure Services Manager
Grand River Center (Conference Center): Marie Ware, Leisure Services Manager
Park Division: Steve Fehsal, Park Division Manager
Recreation Division: Dan Kroger, Recreation Division Manager; and Farris Muhammad,
Director of the Multicultural Family Center.
The City Council had discussion with staff following their presentation.
There being no further business, upon motion the City Council adjourned at 8:37 p.m.
