Dear Mayor Duggan and City Council Members:
As part of our preparation for the America's River project the Convention and Visitors
Bureau is restructuring our Advisory Board. Several new positions have been added to
allow for the representation of a broader group of tourism related businesses. Part of this
restructuring allows for a second City Council member seat on the Board.
The role of the Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board is to set the long range
and annual program of work and business plan, make policy recommendations, monitor
industry trends, and review the progress of CVB programming.
Since the Convention and Visitors Bureau has two seats available for the Dubuque City
Council, we would like to request that the second seat be filled. Dan Nicholson has
served on our Board for many years and we would like him to rema'm but would also like
m invite another Council member to join the CorcYention mhd Visitors Bureau Advisory
