Gentlemen:
I live at 1700 Keyway Dr. (1st house, 1st block on Pa. Ave. We moved here in 1970 and have watched the
area and west side develop.
Our corner, with all the traffic from all directions has become a very dangerous
corner.
In the early years a car would on occaison slidei nto fire hydrant during icy
times. However, NOW it happens OFTEN, days - nights, any kind of weather. We
are constantly having to pick up broken glass - around hydrant, our yard, parkline etc. They have hit and
taken out 1 tree & hit replacements - dislodged fire hydrant & ruined our corner planting of evergreens
and mangled the replacements.
Something MUST be Done!!
We cannot park in front of our house or let visitors park there.
If this dangerous corner is not corrected someone will be seriously injured or
killed - either in another vehicle: a pedestrian or maybe plowing into the corner
of our house.
Question: How long has it been since a traffic survey was done here?
I strongly advise this be done and entire situation reviewed.
I feel 35 is too high a speed limit. (Many go by here from either direction @ 40-45).
It is very difficult, manyhours of the day to get onto Pa. from Keyway Dr.
Respectfully,
Mary (Mrs. Norbert) Sack
