Expenditures were at 79% and revenue collected was at 81% of projected income for the fiscal year. The Board approved expenditures made since the last meeting and approved expenditure for the projector and control panel scheduled for replacement in the Aigler Auditorium pending a review by Board member Mike Willis. The budget for the projector and control panel is $14,516. • Materials for children showed an increase in use as well as computer use and downloadable titles. • The Board reviewed the Circulation Policy based on a recommendation to include language regarding restrictions to accounts that have not been managed responsibly, particularly if legal intervention was required. The Board approved the policy. • The Board reviewed the Fines and Fees Policy based on a recommendation to reduce the cost of sending and receiving faxes. The fees for inbound and outbound fax service were set years ago when fax machines and long-distance telephone calls were quite expensive. The average cost for sending a fax is about $10 and the Library is among the highest priced fax services in town because the fees were never reviewed and adjusted. The Board approved the policy. The new fee is $1 .00 for the first page and $.50 for each additional page per phone number. Receiving a fax is set at $.25 per page. • The Board approved hiring a Marketing Coordinator to continue efforts begun with the marketing campaign last year and manage social media. A gift trust will fund this position. Discussions will continue regarding this position at a future board meeting.
