Sewage coming up through floor drains on main floor office restrooms. City was called and sewage pump was run to clear the main line. 5/23 -Sewer was backed up again. Office bathrooms and some restrooms on the floor were locked out from use. Willenborg Plumbing was called to come in and clear line. We called city Engineering department for support first thing that morning. Engineering technician (Nick Connolly) arrived on site and determined that the flow meter had failed on 05/15 and was no longer sending signals to tell City Sewage department to come down and run the pump. City Engineer Todd Irwin was also onsite Flow meter was replaced Willenborg Plumbing cleared the line and verified with camera analysis We are requesting reimbursement from the City of Dubuque for the following expenses: Willenborg Plumbing -$1,593.62 (quote provided) .Internal maintenance labor of 19.25 hours at$30/hr= 577.50 (detail provided) - problem resolution and clean up Total reimbursement requested = $2,171.12 -----Original Message----- From: Wortman, Daniel Sent: Monday, May 22, 2017 10:38 PM To:Schiltz, Mark Cc: Luber, David Subject: East side sewer line Mark, The city got out here at 9:45 and started checking manholes. The level at the flagpole had dropped a couple of inches, exposing the top of our line. Movement in the main was very sluggish, and it's quite possible that it caused a partial blockage in the end of our line. They did run the pump for a half hour to see if our situation changed. The level in the floor drains is down slightly ( an inch? ) but the water still wants to back up rather than run down. We will need to get Willenberg out first thing to clear the line.
