The Bee Branch Creek Greenway has five areas that will be available for rental to the
community for events and activities. Currently Leisure Services charges rental fees for
pavilions as well as portions of parks and special areas and spaces within parks.
Leisure Services Manager Marie Ware is recommending the rental fees for the five new
areas.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this memo is to provide for approval a rental fee schedule for five areas
in the Bee Branch Creek Greenway.
DISCUSSION
The Bee Branch Creek Greenway has five areas that will be available for rental to the
community for events and activities. Currently Leisure Services charges rental fees for
pavilions as well as portions of parks and special areas and spaces within parks.
The following is recommended rental fees for the five new areas:
16th Street Overlook $ 30
24th Street Overlook $ 30
Creekside Amphitheater $ 35
Creekside Landing $ 25
Greenway Landing $ 30
The fees recommended are in line with current rental fees for Leisure Services areas of
similar areas and spaces. This is with the understanding that staff is currently reviewing
all rental fees and will have recommendations for updated fees as a part of the work on
the upcoming Fiscal Year 2019 budget. These fees recommended above will likely be
recommended for change at that time.
Rentals of each area will begin once the grass has been established around the area
and construction and cleaning is complete. Rentals will follow current policies and
procedures used for all other Leisure Services rental pavilions and areas. Each of the
five rental areas have been given names. If donors come forward they can be renamed
in the future.
The Parks and Recreation Commission at their June 13, 2017 meeting recommended
approval of the fees.

I respectfully recommend approval of the rental fees for five areas in the Bee Branch
Creek Greenway.
