SUBJECT: Request to Eliminate One Truck Driver Position and Create One Utility
Worker Position in the Public Works Department
DATE: June 19, 2017
On July 18, 2016, the City Council approved retitling the position of Truck Driver to
Utility Worker. The rate of pay remains the same as Truck Driver and the duties are
unchanged. Due to a vacancy in a Truck Driver position, Personnel Manager Randy
Peck is recommending City Council approval of a motion eliminating one Truck Driver
position and creating one Utility Worker position in the Public Works Department.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.
