SUBJECT: 2017 Windsor Avenue Sanitary Sewer Manhole Project

Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the 2017 Windsor
Avenue Sanitary Sewer Manhole Project was awarded on June 23, 2017, to Drew
Cook & Sons Excavating Co., Inc., in the base bid amount of $18,500.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the 2017 Windsor Avenue
Sanitary Sewer Manhole Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: 2017 Windsor Avenue Sanitary Sewer Manhole Project
The 2017 Windsor Avenue Sanitary Sewer Manhole Project will provide for the removal of two
manholes & replace with 8" pipe and remove & replace two manholes with 8" connecting
pipe.
The following is a summary of bids received for the 2017 Windsor Avenue Sanitary Sewer
Manhole Project:

Drew Cook & Sons Excavating Co., Inc. $18,500.00
Temperley Excavating, Inc. $19,914.80
McDermott Excavating $24,556.00
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was awarded on
June 23, 2017 to Drew Cook and Sons Excavating Co., Inc. of Dubuque, IA, in the base bid
amount of$18,500.00.
This portion of the project will be funded by the following CIP:
