What is CodeRED?
CodeRED is a FREE emergency notification service that allows
local emergency officials to notify Dubuque residents and
businesses by telephone, cell phone, text message, email,
social media, and the CodeRED mobile alert app of emergency
situations and time-sensitive news. Safety is a two-way street,
so be sure to register "landline" and mobile phone numbers to
receive the information you need when it matters.
CodeRED is used to send critical communications about local incidents that may
immediately impact your safety. This is in addition to traditional means of communication
used by the City of Dubuque and Dubuque County.
When is CodeRED used? Privacy and Caller ID

databases, including regional phonebooks. However, no resident should
assume that their information is in the system.
