Members of the City Council:
This letter is in regard to the request for reaudit of the City of Dubuque for the
fiscal year ended June 30, 2016 filed with the Office of Auditor of State. Based upon
the request for reaudit and other information provided, we have determined reaudit j
procedures are necessary and appropriate. For your information, in addition to fiscal
year 2016 transactions, the reaudit may involve a review of selected prior year and
current year transactions and records, as deemed necessary.

We expect to begin our reaudit work at the City in January 2018. Ernie Ruben
is the Audit Manager assigned to your engagement. He will contact the City to make a
arrangements. After the reaudit is completed, a written report which is public
information will be issued by our Office. There will be no direct charge to the City for

the reaudit.
