We are requesting a meeting of the Board of the Couler Valley Urban Drainage District, formed in
in 1993 to address flooding in the Couler Valley/Sageville Drainage District.
We intend to invite a representative of the Army Corps of Engineers to attend this meeting about
the flood situation in the City of Dubuque and North in the Couler Valley.
Please indicate your willingness to meet with us to resolve this difficult issue.

Dear Mr. Loss:
The Dubuque County Board of Supervisors are requesting that a representative of the Army
Corps of Engineers meet with us to find a solution to the flooding in the Couler Valley and
Sageville Drainage District, in the Cities of Dubuque and Sageville and the unincorporated areas
of Dubuque County. This area has experienced flooding again this spring.
We need to work together to resolve this flooding situation for the safety of the residents of the
area, and to provide economic development stimulus for this area of Iowa.
We will appreciate knowing when you would be able to send a representative to meet with us.
