Re: Purchase of vacated alley
Dear Mayor Duggan and City Council:
I am interested in acquiring a portion of city property,
a vacated alley in the 3200 block of Central Ave., in
accordance with the City of Dubuque Vacating Proceedures.
The vacated alley adjoins the property that I own at
3250 Central Ave., which is occupied by Mays Grill Shop.
The reason for my desire to purchase is to connect it
to my property, and I will maintain it with my adjoin-
ing property.
I have spoken with Ron Turner at the City Engineer's
Office to have the area checked for sewer utilities and
was given a preliminary indication that the vacating is
favorable.
If this possible, I will work closely with the City
Engineer's Office to obtain written consent of the con-
tiguous property owners.
